I’m a native of Clarendon, New York. I entered the Air Force in October 1981 as an Air Cargo Specialist. While enlisted, I served within US Air Forces Europe, Detachment 4, 40th Tactical Group, at Decimomannu Air Base, Italy from 1982 to 1983 followed by Air Force Space Command, 6550th Air Base Group, Cocoa Beach, Florida from 1983 to 1989 as a Logistic Plans and Programs NCO.
I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and selected to attend Officer’s Training School at Medina Annex, Lackland AFB, San Antonio Texas and earned my commission on 1 October 1990.
My first assignment as an officer was HQ Air Force Military Personnel Center, Future Systems Branch, Randolph AFB San Antonio, Texas from 1990 to 1995 where I served as a System Software Programmer.
My next assignment was HQ, US Central Command, Command and Control Communication and Computer System Directorate, MacDill AFB, Tampa Florida from 1995 to 1999 where I served as Chief, Customer Support Section.
I was then assigned to the 868th Communication Squadron, Air Mobility Command, Scott AFB, Belleville, Illinois from 1999 to 2002 as Program Manager, Global Command and Control System.
I then returned to Europe as Deputy Commander, 52nd Communication Squadron, US Air Forces Europe, Spangdahlem Air Base Germany from 2002 to 2006.
In 2006 I was selected to serve as a Joint Staff Action Officer within the Operations Directorate, J-3, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington DC to advise and support the Deputy Director for Global Operations, The Director for Operations, the Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense in the development of requirements supporting the Joint Staff operations and the National Military Command Center.
I retired after 28 years of dedicated active duty service on 1 Oct 2009 and moved to Pennsylvania.
